There is another matter that I should like to ask you - that is, if you are still in the same mind with reference to what you said to my Father, about the Legislative Council - would you kindly let me know some time before the writs are issued, as I should like to retire from the Suburbs in plenty of time to give Wells an opportunity of well canvassing the district, which I would do with him, in order to make sure of his election, as he would be a stanch and honest supporter of the Govt. upon all questions - and from what he said to me a day or two back, I think he is anxious to come in again - By kindly doing this you will confer a great favour on me - With kind regards Believe me to be Sincerely yours A.
