Christchuroh, February 12, This morning Rev J. Treadwell submitted tho report of tho Committee on schemes of studies for students for the ministry, which provides for new students a missionary course and a full subject course, mathemetics however being excluded. Dr Elinslie moved an amendment to the effect chat the report be not adopted, on the ground that even if successful it would end m a brief period of time m a lower educational standing of the ministry, without any compensation m the direction of spiritual excellence and ministerial efficiency. The educational difficulty was most likely to be overcome by the foundation of theological scholarships, and the securing of all the benefits of a theological hall m the colony. The report gave rise to an animated debate, which was adjourned till the afternoon,
