MB. JOHN O. RESTELL. Mr John G. Restell reports on the weekly sale, held at his Arcade and Horse Bazaar, Ashburton, on Saturday, August 1; Mr F. M. Rick man, auctioneer.—A. •small entry of about forty horses of all classes came forward for sale. The demand for all young sound horses was very good, for aged and inferior horses there is not much sale. Feed being scarce, and as we are just passing through tlu middle of winter, with very hard frosts, the public will not purchase uselesn houses. Good sound young draught horses, with a trial, sold well up to £20 ; aged and inferior draught horses from £3 to £8 ; good young sound light harness horses up to £12 ; good saddle horses up to £10 ; inferior aged hacks, weeds, and screws from £1 to £4 ; one second-hand dug cart at £16. The attendance of the public was very large throughout the day.
