A CONTRADICTION.
TO THE EDITOR. Sin, —It is with reluctance and regret that I have to ask you for _ space to correct a false impression which in some remarkable way has got into circulation. It is this : I have been told that the funds I am collecting for Mrs Moss are to be spent in defending Mr Moss, I will only say that Mr Wilding, MiStringer, andMrWiddowson, offered their services gratuitously and most generously, and are giving to, instead of taking from Mi' 3 Moss. There have been other tumors, but I wiil answer them all by saying that Mrs Moss is entirely without funds, though certainly not without friends, and I will take good care that the sun*s subscribed shall be used for hor benefit only, and at a later date I will render a clear account of my stewardship.—l am, etc. Alfred Harrison, Ashburton, August-5.
