The meeting will be held under the Rules of Racing. No entry will be received except on the condition that all claims, disputes, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards or whom they may appoint. Their decision on all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. A district horse shall mean any horse that has been commonly resident m the district between the rivers Selwyn and Waitaki from August 20, 1891, and up to the date of the meeting, and owned by a person who has resided m the said district during the same period. Five per cent will be deducted from tfle gross of all moneys payable m accordance with programme for the expenses of the course. All nomination, acceptance, and entrance fees to go to the funds of the Club. NOMINATIONS for all Handicaps, accompanied by fee, name, pedigree, age, descrlp tion and performances of horse, and colors of rider, must be m writing, and m the hands !of the Secretary, at the Club Room, Commercial Hotel, Ashburton, not later than 9 p.m* on SATURDAY, October 31, 1891. HANDICAPS for the first, day's racea will be published on November 12. Handicaps for the second day's races will be published at or about 8 o'clock m the evening of the first day's racing. The winner of any handicap after the publication of the weights to carry 71bs extra. ACCEPTANCES for the first day's handicaps and ENTRIES for the Maiden i Plate and Novel Race must be m the hands of the Secretary not later than 9 p.m. on [MONDAY, November 16, 1891.
