Mr Brennars speaking at' Wtigga said the Government would force the policy of protection,, and if unsuccessful would appeal to tiie 'country. The question of Federation, lie mentioned, had been left entirely with Mr Bartfjhj the Attorney-General. He understood that as the present Bill had been fully discussed, any amendments would have to be referred to a new convention. The Govervinent intended: to ask Parliament to pass the one-man-one-vote principle, and the fiscal question would then be proceeded with. All the members of the Government with the exception of Mr Barton, have been re-elected without Opposition. Mr Barton is opposed by Granthain, free trader and Labor candidate,
