THE MINERS' DISPUTE.

Sydney, January 6. Twelve hundred men are idle at the Wallsend mine. All the other miners have resumed work, which is taken as a recognition of the new reduction. On the other hand, when the result of the ballot on the subject is known it is understood there will be a large majority m favor of resisting the reduction. The Board of Delegates meet to-morrow 1 to receive the voting returns and discuss the result.
