1 (Received January 7, 12.40 p.m.) , THE MINERS' DISPUTE. Sydney, January 7. The Premier considers that the Associated Colliers did n,ot need to
reduce the price of coal, and their object was not so much to increase the export trade as to drive the nonassociated mines out of the 6eld. He thinks the men would be justified m offering resistance if the reduction affected their wages.
