THE CRUISERS.

H.M.S. RINGAROOMA AT TIMARU.

(per press association.)

Timabu, January 1, H.M.S. Ringarooma arrived this morning, and steamed straight into the harbor. The Mayor and Borough Council and the Chairman of tho Harbor Board went aboard and welcomed the visitors. Capt. Bourke replying, said he would be able to pronounce a favorable opinion respecting the harbor to any one asking. Any vessel would be perfectly safe at the mooring. The only drawback was that the entrance was not good for rough weather. It is intended to entertain the captain and officers to lunch and a drive round the country to-morrow.
