Bbisbanb, August 4* The debate on the second reading of the Constitution Bill, dividing Queensland into provinces, is proceeding. Mr Donaldson moved an amendment that the time is inopportune for dividing the colony at present. The amendment was treated by the Government as a motion of censure, and was consequently withdrawn. MEAT PRESERVING. The Government have arranged to obtain from America men who have had a large experience in the meat preserving trade.
