London, November 17. The Queensland Separation Committee have determined to postpone further action pending the result uf the General Election. They consider it useless to interview Lord Ripon meanwhile. The Turner's Company and Sir Richard Cotton propose state-aided emigration to the colonies as a means of settling labour disputes. Sir W. J. Clarke opposes the suggestion urging that emigration wbuld not help the workers, but rather tend to injure them. * London, November 18. The " Daily Chronicle " asserts that jobbers are bearing the West Australian Stock, hoping to enforce a cheaper new issue. The " Daily News," en the other hand, quotes the loan at a slight premium, and declares the floating a sure success. ■ The prospects of the Western Australian loan are now. considered dubious owing to the dispute with the Midland Railway Company. The ■• Fall Mall Gazette" advises that a tax should be imposed on foreign wool to prevent the Australian product going to America,
