IMPERIAL FEDERATION.
Lord Brassey has contributed an article to one of the reviews on the subject of the Imperial Federation League which, he says, was founded to avert the dismembership of the Empire. He thinks that the establishment of a Zollverein is impossible owing to trade conflicts. In matters of defence, however, interests are identical, and he is of opinion that in this fact lies the bond of union.
