HAWAII.
San JBbancisco, March 18. The British party in Hawaii claim that if the question of a Protectorate over the islands were submitted to a plebiscite they would secure a large majority owing to the support of the Kanaka and Japanese party. They further state that if the American marines were withdrawn, Hawaii would maintain her former status. Washington, March 17. Mr Blount, American Commissioner, has started for Honolulu. His instructions are, that the United States will protect Hawaii against foreign aggression, but will accord no other support to the Provisional Government.
