Twenty-six were present, besides a number of officials of the Supreme Court and Resident Magistrate's Court. Mr P-dwards, on behalf of his confreres, testified to the care which Mr Robinson had always bestowed upon the cases before him; if anything he was too ready to hear minute details, but that was a fault on the right side. He congratulated him heartily upon his promotion. Mr I Robinson, in reply, eaid he felt very much complimented by the number of barristers present. He mentioned that during his five years' tenure there had passed through the Court a yearly average of 4000 cases. His Honour referred in felicitous tenrs to the number of promising young lawyers whom the colony had produced.
