ASHBURTON—THURSDAY. (Before Mr 0. A. Wray, R.M.) Civiii Cases. —An order w*s made on a judgment summons. Borough By-laws. -William Bergb, charged with stone throwing in Moore street during the progress of the Fire Brigade procession, admitted throwing some mud A member of the Brigade, who , Caught the boy in the acb, gave evidence. Mr Outhbertson, on beha'f of the Brigade, said they di«J not wish this particular caee severely dealt with, but the practice was becoming a serious nuisance, aj^d seveiijl fersons had been hurt on previous occasion p. t was desirable, therefore, that it should be made known that in future such, offences would be severely punished. The Magistrate cautioned the lad and dismissed him. Theft.— Percy Eden and George Pampbell were charged with stealing a tricycle, the property of Henry Eriedlander, from C. Reid's smithy, Both admitted taking it. Constable Moore proved finding the trachine in a broom fence near Mcna Stptre, and another witness had seen the Ijoys ridipg the machine.—The Magistrate thought the boys might have taken the tricycle out of mischief | and cautioned and dismissed them, adrwing tbom to be more cartful in future,
