"COWARD'S CASTLE."
TO THE EDITOB. Sir, —I notice in your i^sue of Wednesday that Mr Lawry commences a letter with a quotation' from a Mr Robertson, and in doing so, insinuates that Mr Gollins is a coward. Bat I think every lover of fair play who had the pleasure cf hearing MrCoilms' able and manly lec^ ture, would say that the charge of cowardice made by-Mr JLMjrry would'be more to the pomt if applied to Mr Lawry himself. .1 deny Mr Lawry's assertion that Mr Collins claimed that it was his meeting. He did nothing of the kind. What he saidwwat(s t( If this has been advertised as a public meeting I am quite willing for a vote to be taken," I should advise Mr Lawry when he again wishes to state a fact to adhere to the truth, and nothing but the truth. If ha will only make that his star ing point in future he will have done something to entitle himself to the respect of every lover of the truth.—l am, etc , Wm. Leggbtt.
