A public meeting was held at Johnsonville last night to cosider a statement published by Mr H. W. London that one of his children had died from a cold contracted through beinsr made to sit near 8 broken window in a State school. Several speaker* thought the window should have been repaired without delay, but the committee explained that a new glass had been brcVen while on the way from Wellington. A motion wasparfiefl which exonerated the committee and teachers from blame.
