Mails close for the following placea as under, subject to the necessary alterations :— WEDNESDAY, October 4. For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, and West Indies (via 3an Francisco), Sandwich Islands, etc., and also for Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Takapuna, as follows:—Ordinary letters, books, and newspapers, at 6,15p,m, : registered letters, at 5 p.m. ; money orders, at 3p. m. Due London November 8.
Note—On and after October 1 the parcels post system will be established between New Zealand and New South Wales at the same rate of postage as to the other colonies.
