MAYFIELD CONCERT.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Will you kindly grant me space to cerrect the report of the concert which took place in Mayfield on the 24bh ult in aid of our library funds. Unfortunately the evening turned out very wet, so that instead of the crowded house reported there was but a very meagre attendance. In a pecuniary sense the concert was a failure, and our library shelves will derive but Httle benefit from the proceeds. Your correspondent who supplied you with the particulars of the entertainment could not have been prosent. —I am, etc., W. M. Beckett, Hon. Secretary Majfield Library.
