In order thitt these crude oils may not be taken, Oar Pure Volatile JBuca> lyptl Extract, which is recognised by the medical division of the Prussian Government to be of perfectly pure origin, as per information forwarded to us through the Consul at Melbourne, March 3, 1878 It is proved by tests made by the Medioial Clinics of the UniversitiM at Bonn and Greifawal', Prussia, and reported by Dr Schulz, Professor of Pharmaoolagy at Bonn, and Professor Dr Moaler, Direoto* of the Medical Clinic at Greifswald, (sh?it only products that are saturated with, oxygen and freed of apids, resinous and other substances, adherent to primary distillation, will develop the sanative qualities proper to the plant, according to these authorities, and according to Pro fessor Dr Lister, of England, and to Drs Bauer, Mclntire, Wood, Hazard, etc., of America, is the only extract correspondingto scientific tests, and the only one which possesses the proper therapeutic value. SANDER & SON'S EUCALYPTI EXTRAOT AUother crude oils are to be classed among the turpentines, which have, when used as medicine, no therapeutic effect and are abandoned as an internal modicament. These so called Eucalypti Extracts, which may have received dist notion at Exhibitions is commercial articles and are used for mechanical purposes only are discernible :— 1, By their deficiency in pungent odour (which our product, the only genuine Eucalypti Extrac develops most freely through its surplus of oxy -c ). 2 By their alcoholic thin and mobile appearance, being reduced ia specific d?ns,ity through the presence of acid* 3. By tUck taste; th« result ot Uie contracting ten dency of resins and tennates.
