Messrs. Cheeseinan’s Sale of Cattle, &c. at Newmarket, on Bth inst. was well supplied with cattle, the whole of which sold at prices in advance of previous week. Steers fetching from £8 15s to sCll 15s each. Sinee our last report the Adeona has arrived from Adelaide with a large cargo of wheat, which will, no doubt, have au effect on the flour market. AUCKLAND MARKETS—March 11. Flour remains without alteration since our last report. Fine, z£2o to £22 per ton. seconds, £l6 per ton. Bran. —Is 3d. per bushel. Sharps—£lo per ton. Wheat has come in rather freely lately. Readily sold at 6s 6d to 7s per bushel. Bread. —6d per 21b loaf. Butcher’s Meat. —Beef 7d per lb., mutton Bd, pork 7d. Dairy Produce. —Fowls 5s to’ 5s 6d per couple, ducks 5s to 6s do., geese 7s to 8s each, turkeys 8s to 10s each, pigeons 25 per couple, roasting pigs 5s to 8s each, fresh butter 2s per lb., salt do. Is 6d, eggs 2s to 2s 6d per doz. Sugars.—Company’s 6d to 6jd per lb., loaf sugar 9d per lb., crushed loaf 7d per lb. Building Materials. —Kauri boards 16s and scantling 16s per 100 ft, tongued and grooved, £1 Is do., shingles 17s to 18s. 1000 bricks, steam made, £3 10s., do. hand made £1 do.
