THE RINGAROOMA.
The Union S.S. Company's steamer Ringarooma, Captain J. Stott, berthed at the Queen-etreefc Wharf last evening about 8 o'clock from Sydney, after a five days' passage across. She brought a fair number of passengers, and a quantity of general cargo. Mr W. J. Massey, late of the Arawata, is now purser of the Ringarooma. He reports leaving Sydney Harbour at 4.30 p.m. on the 6th inst., and passing the Three Kings ab 9.40 p.m. on the 10th, after experiencing light easterly winds with fine weather across. The Ringarooma spoke a number of vessels on her run from Sydney. On the Btb insb. she passed the barque Sharpshooter ab 4.50 a.m., the s.s. Wairarapa ab 6.15 a.m., and the s.s. Alameda ab 7.45 a.m., all from Auckland. She passed a steamer like the Fiona ab 7.15 a.m. on the 10th, a barque 30 miles off North Cape, steering E.S.E., at 5 a.m. on the 11th, and a brigantine steering the same course ab 6.30 a.m.
