Timartt, this day. At the Supreme Court there are only two criminal flases. A lad of X, an errand boy, who had jucsb left school, pleaded guilty to forging and uttering a cheque for £1. Ha was admitted .to probation for three months. An old offender giving the name of King, ■who had been previously convicted at Hawera and Pat«a, was found guilty of stealing £2 7s from tho bedroom of the Junction Hotel. He vras sentenced to three years' penal servitude. His previous game had been imposing on hotelkeepers, and in this he gave out he was a Bon of Bishop Lincoln.
