Thames, this day.
Trenton. —Driving has been begun eastward on the footwall reef. The footwall lode westward is now being broken down.
May Queen. —The drive east on No. 4 level is now in a distance of 123 feet. The lode has improved within the last few feet. In the face r, "ho drivo it is about twelve inches in t!i;. ..-oss. There is some nicelooking mineral through the quartz. The country on both walls of the lode is everything that could be desired for gold.
Lone Hand.—The General Chute drive ab the low level is still going through a good class of country. The lode in the face of the drive is about 9 inches thick, and some good mineral shows through the quartz. Gold has been seen when breaking down the lode. In the drive east on No. 1 leader there is nice-looking mineral showing through the quartz. In the third stope on the No. 2 leader, and in the tenth stope east Manchester section, colours of gold have bsen seen freely when breaking down the quartz. Nice-looking mineral is showing in the other stopes.
