Percival, secretary to the cluo, who stated that Neary had made good the damage and apologised. Alleged Desertion.—Francisco J. Taverna, charged with deserting his child at Sydney, was remanded for a we.k on the application of Detective Henderson who stated that accused had on'y b;-i n arrested on the Sierra this morn'ng, and that a rimand was necessary in ordei that the X.S.W. police might be communicated with. Remanded to Rotorua.—Wm. P. G. Skipwit was remanded to appear at Rotoua on the 2'2nd inst., on a chaig • of failing to provide for the support of his illegitimate child. By-law Case.—A lad named Claude Mariuont pleaded guilty to drivirg round a corner at a trot on the 15th inst., and was fined 2/6 and costs.
