THIS DAY. (Before Mx S. E. McCarthy, S.M.) The Drunkards.—One first offending drunkard was fined 20/ and costs, aud „nouier 10/ and costs. Withdrawn.—A charge against Ste phen Neary that on u.e sth iiisi. he unlawfully dan Aged a p~ne of gLss. valued at 15/, the property of the A.X.C., was withdrawn on the application of Mr YV. Percival, secretary to the cluo, who stated that Neary had made good the damage and apologised. Alleged Desertion.—Francisco J. Taverna, charged with deserting his child at Sydney, was remanded for a we.k on the application of Detective Henderson who stated that accused had on'y b;-i n arrested on the Sierra this morn'ng, and that a rimand was necessary in ordei that the X.S.W. police might be communicated with. Remanded to Rotorua.—Wm. P. G. Skipwit was remanded to appear at Rotoua on the 2'2nd inst., on a chaig • of failing to provide for the support of his illegitimate child. By-law Case.—A lad named Claude Mariuont pleaded guilty to drivirg round a corner at a trot on the 15th inst., and was fined 2/6 and costs.
