DOMETT RAILWAY TROUBLE.
LABOUR LEADER DISMISSED. (By Telexrapb.—Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The latest developments in connection with the co-operative workers' trouble on the Domett railway is the dismissal of a worker who took a prominent part in the agitation. He has telegraphed to the secretary of the Federated trades Unions here: "Have just been dismissed without any reason whatever. Feel disgusted. (Signed) ±f. Campbell." Campbell'' nas been prominent in Labour matters for some years. He took a leading part in an agitation amongst co-operative labourers on the North Island T trunk railways works, and, later, was one of the speakers on behalf of an unemployed deputation which waited upon the Prime Minister in Wellington. He formed the union amongst the cooperative workers at Domett, and has taken a prominent part in Political Labour League matters in North Island. He claims to be one of the originators of the New South Wales Labour party, and practically the founder of the Labour party in Western Australia.
