J. : Kimber, Beresford-street school; L. Porter, i ninth assistant, Beresfordi-street JschooL; < H. G. Onions, tenth assistant, Beresford- - street school; O. McElwain. third assistant < - Nelson-street school; and Mr. J. Masefleld,' i 5 eight assistant, Beresford-street school. ( School Reports.—'Satisfactory reports of ' the staffs and their work were received 1 from the headmasters of Nelson-street, 1 Beresfod-street, Napier-street, and Chapel- , street schools. The special reports "on the inspectors' visits to the j above-mentioned four schools proved i f very highly satisfactory, and the various . subjects of the syllabus, compulsory and 1 I additional, the discipline, tone, and efflci- I ency of the schools were reported as very s 1 good. On the motion of Mr. P. E. N. i Gaudin, seconded by Dr. H. J. Neill, the ' . following resolution,was passed: "That the 1 headmasters be complimented by this < ' committee on the inspectors' reports on i i the work of their several schools." t : ■ * I MOUNT ROSKILIi ROAD BOARD. < 5 The regular meeting of the Mt. Roskill j r Hoad Board was held last night. Those . present were: Messrs. C. Bagley (Chairman), I . T. E. Hayr, J. Haslett, G. Wlnstone, E. J. i . Herd, and J. Ambnrv. , c Finance. —The statement of receipts and expenditure showed the funds to be in ' credit to the extent of £212. Accounts \ amounting to £109 were passed for pay- \ meut. Dog Registration.—lt was decided to * charge a registration fee of 2/6 each for i sheep and cattle dogs, and 5/ for sporting ] 1 dogs, Mr. T. F Booth being appointed reg- * lstrar. 1 Water Supply.—Dr. Purdy's report, stat- * 1 ing that the water supplied by the One- s - hunga Borough Council was as pure as it < r was possible to obtain from any natural l supply, was received. c Wesley Bay Reserve.—The Chairman (Mr. 3 Bagley) and Mr. Ambnry reported having , interviewed the Rev. Simmonfis, of the , Methodist Mission Trust, regarding the proposed reserve near TPaikowhai. Everything t tn connection with the matter appeared to be progressing satisfactorily.
