CONCILIATION COUNCL.

GROCERS' DISPUTE CONSIDERED. NO FINALITY REACHED. The grocers' dispute came before the Conciliation Council this morning, the Commissioner, Mr. P. Hally, presiding. The assessors for the union were Messrs. R. McKean, M.P:, and I. H. Mortinson, while the employers were represented by Messrs. A. W. Page, J. W. Taylor, and I. H. Barker. Mr. S. E. Wright, secretary of the Employers' Association, acted as agent for the employers. The question of wages, hours, and assistants was considered nt length, ceedings are being continued this afterbut no finality was reached, and pronoon. A final meeting of the council will be held after the country districts have been visited in connection with the dispute.
