BOY SCOUTS.
RALLY AT ROTORUA. (From Our Own Correspondent). ROTORUA, Monday. News received from the Boy Scout camp at Maketu, under Scoutmaster Hawkins, shows that the boys are in splendid health and enjoying themselves, but wet weather has created a great demand for Ibooks and magazines. A party of twelve Boy Scouts have arrived in Rotorua from Gisborne. They left Gisborne at 6.30 a.m. on Monday last. After having cycled 22 miles they took the train to Motu, where they lunched. After travelling for four and a half hours Toa Toa was reached, where the boys camped for the night. They reached Taheatua at 7.30 p.m. next day having travelled about 60 miles. The next day the party set out for Rotorua. Since their arrival the party has received help and assistance in many ways from Mr. Duncan Steele, who takes a great interest in the Scout movement. The boys are camping in the large supper room attached to the King's Theatre.
