I beg to state that my Centra was In no way connected with Miss Shand's visit here. Any arrangements made were of a purely priyate and unofficial character. As to the intention ol claiming or '-wooing" her as an Auckland representative for Dominion champlonEhip honours at Wanganui in January, the Amiland Centre has never entertained air desire in that direction, in fact has neter discussed the matter, either with tit young lady herself, or amongst its members."
