Donald Ferguson, I who subsequently gave his address as I the Roviil Hotel. Timar'u, was shot in the right hip. I ;\s is customary- at that, hour the street was practically deserted. Accord- ; ; ii<; to Ferguson's statement he was ! drinking at a fountain when a bullet hit him. Two policemen at. the corner of Casliel and Colombo Streets heard an explosion, and soon afterwards Fergusou came to them and complained that lie had licTti sltol. I'xamination revealed tthat lie harl been struck by a small calibre bullet. Ferguson was sent to the hospital. His condition is favourable.
