The photo-finish camera was needed to confirm the winner In all but the last of nine races at the New Brighton Trotting Club's meeting on Saturday at Addington Raceway The racing wag among the moat keenly contested on the course this season. The first four races were won by half a neck, the fifth by a head, the next by half a head, followed by half a neck and a nose. Golden Guest spoiled the run of close finishes by winning the final event by two lengths. The meeting attracted a crowd of 19.358, an increase of 800 over 12 months ago. Drizzle fell tor the last two races, but the track was not affected. On-course betting rose by *91.058 to *333,188. and off the .nurse the Increase was 990.431.50 to *500.264
