ALEXANDRA TOWN COUNCIL.

The usual fortnightly meeting of the Council was held on Friday evening, the 25th inst. Present: the .\Liyor, and Crs. Beresford and Hillhousc. The minutes of the previous meeting wore road and confirmed. The Town Clerk then read Report No. 12, from the Works Committee, relative to a drain for carrying off the sto.-tn water from back of the township, and a supply of water for the to wu in case of fire In reference to the first subject, the report recommended that a drain should bs cut on the upper side of Malliugar-street, *o commence at the juttin j rock behind Mr Beresford's stable, from thence to be continued to further corner of De«-3trect, an 1 then into the main channel n Tarbert-streut above Mr Charnock's. . lsu. that a drain be cut from other side of the same rock to tho b ink of the if uinherikia. The report was adopted.
