I \ Poor, frail, erring sister, 'p Oh ! many there be, That (hadst thou but lived) Would have comforted thee. But the fiat want forth From the King on ilia Throne, 1 And with power, yet in love, Whispered “ Daughter, come home.'* You believed on the Saviour, , iiegretted your sin, ..And the germ of salvation W as stirring Within, When you wrote with suoh pathos ■ The “ Beautiful Snow,” And ielt like an outcast VV ith nowhere to go. Oh J sad was thy fate, And gloomy tuy lot; Anu wneu tne snow lulls Thou wilt not be forgot. We will hope and believe At your desolate end, The Saviour was husband, And brother, and friend ; That the vital spark tied To a mansion ol rest, And the “ Beautiful Snow” in blessing was blest.
