BY-LAW AND CIVIL CASES By-law cases-were dealt with by Messrs. 11. Seaton and H. A. Huggins, J.P.’s, in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. Hillary Brown was lined 10s. for not having assigned, number plates on his car, and was ordered to pay 10s., costs only, for not having bis vehicle properly lighted. Florence Cook was fined £2 for not having a driver’s license, and for failing to give way to a vehicle at an intersection was fined £l. George A. Vickers was ordered to pay IGs., costs only, for failing to keep to the left. Ernest Turksma was fined 10s. for failing to give way to a motor vehicle. Clarence Moore was ordered to pay 10s., costs only, for failing to report an accident to the police. Driving in a manner dangerous to the public cost Harold Manger £2. Joseph C.. Smith 10s., and Horace Mitchell ss. Not having a warning device on his vehicle cost Edward Fuge 10s. For leaving their vehicles unattended Katherine M. Parker was fined £1; William Forsyth, Peter R. Grant, William J. Mason, Irving F. Randell. Allan J. Salter, and William Wilson, 10s. each; Albert Stephens, 55.; and George D. Dick and Clarence Eaton were each ordered to pay costs, 10s. On charges of speeding, Lance A. Payne was fined £l, and James Craig 10s. Not having their vehicles properlj’ lighted. cost Kenneth Thumbleby £l, Raymond Wilkes 10s., and Thomas J. Firth ss. Ethel C. Ahearn was fined £1 for failing to signal when turning. DEFENCE CASES. For falling to attend drill, Percy Joye, Laurence C. H. Douglas, and John W. Mclnnes were each fined £1; Joseph I. Keegan, James C. Black, Charles E. F. Newfield, Albert E. Clifton, John W. Coles, William Wells, and Herbert L. -Williamson, 10s. each. Charles W. S. Lister was ordered to pay 10s., costs only.
