JUBILEE MEDALS
Presentation on Monday ORDER OF THE PARADE As part of the King’s Jubilee celebrations, Jubilee Medals will be presented on Monday to officers and men of the New Zealand Military Forces and the New Zealand Territorial Forces. The medal will take the form of a military decoration, and will be worn with other decorations and service medals on the left breast of the recipient. Information regarding the number to be presented is not available at present. The medals will be presented to members of the Permanent Forces by MajorGeneral Sir William Sinclair-Burgess, C.M.G., C. 8., D. 5.0., General Ofiicer Commanding the New Zealand Military Forces, at a parade in the Drill Hall, Buckle Street, at 9 a.m. on Monday, and Territorial officers and men will be de•corated at Parliament Buildings during the ceremonial there by Colonel F. Symon.
The parade at the Wellington WaiMemorial, where his Excellency the Governor-General, Lord Galway, will be given the Royal Salute, is expected to be a representative one, as members of all units have been instructed to assemble in Waterloo Quay at 9.30 a.m. The parade will be under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel J. LI. Saunders, and will inarch to the saluting base at the memorial in the following order:—
The Artillery Band, the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, the sth Battery, N.Z.A., the 15th Battery, N.Z.A., the 17th Battery, N.Z.A., the 19th Battery, N.Z.A., the 2nd Field Company, New Zealand Engineers, the Central Depot Corps of Signallers, a detachment of the Manawatn Mounted Rilles, the Ist Battalion Wellington Regiment, the 2nd Composite Company, N.Z.A.S.C., 2nd Field Ambulance, N.Z.M.C., Wellington College Cadets, St. Patrick's College Cadets, Rongotai College Cadets, Scots College Cadets, Silverstream College Cadets.
On being formed up at the War Memorial tbe parade will be inspected by his Excellency the Governor-General. After the inspection the parade will move into Molesworth Street, where they will form up for the service that is to be held at the steps of Parliament Buildings, the details of which have already been published. On completion of the ceremony the units will march past the saluting base (the steps of Parliain&it.House) and his Excellency will take the salute. The troops will continue the march through the city leaving the grounds by the Bowen Street gate. After passing through Lambton Quay and Willis Street they will wheel into Mercer Street, where they will be, dismissed. A special appeal is being made by the Wellington R.S.A. for a record muster of returned mon to (flake part in the parade. Tlie R.S.A. section of Hie parade is to form up at 9.30 a.m. in Stout Street.'
