AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKET. Reports for the week ending April 15 )

MR. BUCKLAND'fb RLPORT. Mr. BuckliAND reports that during the past week considerable numbeis of horses have been brought forward to the market, and the greater number disposed of. Prices have been well sustained, best draught going fioin £50 to £90 ; medium draught from £24 to £36 ; hacks, £14 to £20 each. The sale on Wednesday r was well suppoited ; 18 horses were sold. The cattle market, which was almost bare of fat stock, has been fully replenished by the arrival of first-class stock from Gipps Laud. The cargo of the • Kate "Waters ' — 190 head — were sold on Monday last. They were eagerly competed for, and brought an average of £17 ss. They were of a better quality than we have hitherto received, and weie landed in excellent condition. Fat cattle on Thursday were ss. per 1001b. lower than that of the previous week. Colonial store cattle are higher in price from 10s. to 15s. each. Daiiycows were plentiful, but those of best quality brought long prices— £3o 10a. to £34 for good cows ; second class in quality, from £13 to £20.

Fat sheep were lower than last week fully ss. per head. There was not a large supply. The market for store sheep was well supplied. Newcastle wethers withdrawn, 16s. 6d. being the best price offeied. Napier wethei s sold at 225. each ; half- bred hoggett«, 22a. each j wethcrihoggetts, 19s. 6d. each. A full market of pigs scarcely obtained last week's rates.' '

MESSRS. BTVAK AND HUNTER'S REPORT. Hoksks. — The supply wan well kept up, and seveial heavy draught, and other u&eful horses changed owners at high prices. Inferior Lacks can hardly be sold at any price. We quo to draught horses at £37 to £70 ; saddle and light harness, £17 to £40 ; hacks, £4 15s. to £11 10s. Pat Cattle. — The supply was not large, but the quality excellent ; pievious rates were fully maintained. Wo sold bullocks at £16 to £19 : cows, at £10 ss. to £15 12s. 6d. Fat Sheep. — Theiewas a good supply of medihm quality, which sold at 30s. to 355. 6d. Dairy and Store Cattde. — Very few in the yards, and the pi ices offered not being satisfactory to the veudois, they weie almost all withdrawn. Milch cows, £10 10s. to £12 155.; store heifers, £8 to £10 2h. 6d. Store Sheep.— None in the market. Pigs.— Sold at 325. to 85s.
