The Times of February 18 reports :— No salei of any importunes have occurred to-daft and we can only report a dull and unsatisfactory **»'• of business, with prices for most of the staple* barely maintained, and shipments accumulating in importers' hands. There have been light tales of brandies in case and of teat! Sugars are alio reported as quitted in moderate quantity, price* Inclining to firmness Cornsuck* are quitter. By auction, Messrs McLaundress, Hepburn, and Co. disposed of about 60 package! of boots and shoes, obtaining fair prices, notwithstanding that portion! of the invo cci were unsuitable for the season. The grain market continues extremely inactirt, with no probability of an immediately improved demand. Prices are generally without alteration, and oar quotations of last week represent the present Talijei Of the principal itcmi.
