BANKRUPTCY MATTERS.
Meetings of creditors in the following bankrupt estates Avere convened to be held yesterday, with the following results :—ln: — In the estate of H. L. Donnelly, a first meeting was held : liabilities, £282 4s. Qd. ; assets, £250 nominal. Mr. Macfarlane was appointed trustee. W. A. Surflen, a first meeting : liabilities, £105 45. : assets, £30 nominal, consisting chiefly of scrip. Adjourned for a week. In the estate of James Mantell, carj«3ter, Auckland, Mr. John Mowbray has been appointed trustee. The above bankrupt intends to pass his last examination on the 6th October, and thereafter to apply for his discharge. In the estate of Alexander Watson, draper, Grahamstown, creditors are requested to prove their debts with the trustee, Mr. Thomas Macffarlaue, on or before the 19th instant. In the estate of H. P. Kirkwood, brewer, a dividend of ss. in the pound will be payable after neon to-day.
