ARRIVAL OF THE COMERAIS'fi. The p. a. Comer ang, Captain T. ChrU>p, arrived in harbour la-^t evening from Napier vut the Thames, with stock. The Comeiang has again landed the whole of her stock in firat-chi I}-*1 }-* condition, not having lost a single hoof. Passed the p3. Samson at G a.m. on "Wednesday, between Runaway and East Cape.
ARRIVAL OF THE MARGARET CAMPBELL. The smart three-masted schooner Margaret Campbell arrived iv harbour yesterday morning from Oamaru, with giaiu. Captain Cummiugs reports having left Oamaiu on September 1, and had light variable winds throughout ; passed the East Cape on Friday last, and anchored off JLuigitoto on Wednesday evening.
The European Mail says, "The project of a floating dock for Auckland has given much satisfaction among those who are interested in. the trade of that port." The schooner Tawera sailed for Napier yesterday. The cutter Mary Eliza, from Tauranga, rrived yesterday. The schooner Onohunga was to leave Napier for this port on the 12th, with iiax, wool, &c., for transhipment to England by the ship Argyleshire. The schoonee Saucy Lass, hence, arrived at Napier on the 9fch instant. The ErrA.- The brig liita arrived in harbour last night from Lybtelton, bringing a full cargo of grain for Messrs. J. S. Macfar lane and Co. The schooner Ivanhos arrived yesterday from Mangonui, bringing a cargo of gum, timber, and several passengers. The Jfawke'B Bay Herald of September 6 s&ya :— " It is currently reported that the s.B. Star of the South has changed hands, and that efforts are about to be made by her new owners to get her off the beach where sao lies stranded."
