Horse stock in aveiagc supply , with a f.iii demand for all kinds except heavy di.iught, which aie 1 datively dull of sale. Hides command more attention ; skins at late values. At Hemuera, on Thiusd.iy, no good dairy cattle were offered ; store cattle more plentiful than usual, with a steady demand at late values ; fat cattle in full supply— 187 sold to the trade— pi ices lower 2s Gd to 7s Gd the 1001b. Stoie hheep plentiful, witli a fair infinity; fat sheep in full supply, and slightly lower in price. Pigs in full supply ; prime quality in request at last week's values; coaise animals at lower \ alues. Prices given wcic : Hay, 3s to 5s the cwt.; maize, 5s; oats, 3s (id the bushel ; heavy ill (uightbtock, £40 to t'45 each, with a limited enquiry ; active harness, £18 to £32, with an unsatisfied demand ; inferior hoi so stock, i'5 fit and upwards ; good hacks, £15 to £44 each ; choice fat cattle, 30s to 37* Cd ; medium quality, 30s the 1001b. ; store lambs, 7s to 10s 6d each ; aged long-woolled ewes, 12s to 24s each ; fat sheep, 4d to 4M the lb.; pigs, 2^1 to 3Jd the lb. Messrs. Hunter and Nolan's Keport.— Horses : An increased number have been brought forward, and the demand was more animated than fol- the two previous weeks. Keally good upstanding young geldings are much inquired for, but not forthcoming, consequently inf ei ior animals were substituted. Draught stock maintained last week's values, but for aged stock required prices were difficult to obtain. We quote hacks from £8 to £15 5s ; light harness horses, from £15 15s to £25 each. Cattle : There was an unusually large muster at Newmarket on Tuesday of all descriptions, with the exception of really good dairy cows at their profit, which ■wore but poorly represented. Stores fully maintained last week s prices, but for tat beasts prices ruled in favour of the purchaser, stocks being adequato, and an unusually large number being brought forward. "We quote dairy cows from £7 10k to £10 10s ; store cows, from £3 10a ■to £5 ; yearling steers, £2 10s to £3 ; 2-year-old steers £4 to £4 10s ; 3 and 4-year-old steers, fioni £5 10s to £7 2s Gd each. Sheep : Theie was a fair supply and spirited demand. No really good stores were penned, but inferior ewes sold at lls Gd each. For the butcher's pens the keenest competition pievailod, and fioin 4d to 4i per lb. was freely given ; best wethers sold from 23s Gd to 29s Gd each. Pigs were scaicely so plentiful ab last week, and prices leceded a little.
