NOTICES. NAPIER BOROUGH COUNCIL. POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on TUESDAY, the 23rd day of April 1929, a Poll of the Ratepayers of the Borough of Napier (as defined by "The Local Bodies Loans Aet, 1926") will be taken on a Proposal to raise bv way of Loan the sum of £7000 for the purpose hereinafter mentioned. whicli proposal was advertised in The Daily Telegrapk of the 21st and 28th days of Marcli, 1929, and the 4th day of April, 1929, and will be advertised in The Daily Telegrapk. of the 11th day of April, 1929. The purpose of the said Loan is as foll'ows, that is to say : — Rouncil ug or sulaying otf the Corners of streets at tne corners hereinafter specified and in connection therewith dong the foliowing works, acts and tliings; acquiring by purchase or otherwise tbe necessary pieces of land, removing, _reerecting and reinstating shops,' bufidmg3 and fences, straightening the approaches to any of sucli corners, removing and cutting away banks and trees, eonstructitig retaining walls where necessary, paying eompensation where shops or buildings are interfered with. paying sueh other eompensation as may be oayable f'or acquiring interfering with or damaging rights or property, removing and re-erecting telegrapk and electrie light poles and wi ring, altering - stormwater channeling and pits and forming and metalling new portions of roadways and footpaths, paying snrvev and legal expenses, generallv _ doing such othei works, acts and things as may be ad.visable or expedient for making the said corners safe for vehicular and pedestrian traffio.
