WIN FOR NAPIER Y.M.C.A.

Napier Y.M.C.A. played Hastings United at Hastings, winning by six goals to four. The match was fast and exciting. Y.M.C.A. opened their score with » nice goal from J. Clark. The wind was giving Y.M.C.A. a great advantage, and Clark added another goal shortly afterwards. Y.M.C.A. continued to press, and after a somewhat' bustling time in United's penalty area Durie added a further goal. Y.M.C.A. were playing much better football than their opponents and they showed up well in some clever work. Just before half-time W. Clark added their fourth goal. With the wind in their favour, United had a great deal more of the play and they kept up an incessant attack, which was soon rewarded. Although they were able to put on four goals, Chambers scoring three and Butcher one, Y.M.C.A. were too good i'or them, and the latter brought their total up to six before the game ended. Mr Mclvay refereed.
