bYDNEY, April 21. A man, who is thouglit to be Lieutenant Anderson, was under a wing of tlie plane. . He had cvidently been dead several days, as be was black in tbe f'ace. Pilot Brain was unable to land owing to tbe rough natur-e of the countrv. A fire, presumably started by tbe airmen, eaused busli fircs, clearing ten miles of scrub. There are indications that tbe Kookaburra landed owino- to engine trouble. Tlio eowl of ihe engine was removed and attempts had been made to elear a runway for a take-off. Tbe place wliere Anderson was found is 200 miles north of the route be was supposcd to take. A compass crror would account for this. Pilot 1 train searehed for an bour for Mr Hitchcock. Tbe Air Board has instrueted five Air Foree macbines to proceed in tlie searcli for Alr Hitebcoc-k. It will take several days to organise a propcr ground expedition. 'Ihe Canberra, with Dr. Hamilton aboard, will flv to tbe neaiv,t landing ground, and tbe doetor will be motored if possible, to tbe Kookaburra.
