Tlie aniuial meeting of the Napier Hockev Fnipirea' Association was held last cvening in the Tliirty Thousand Club's rooiiis, when there was a full attendance of niembers, Mr C. Cross being in tlie chair. The annual report and balanee slioct. wliicli sbowed tbe association to be in a sOund position. were read and adopted. The annual report stated that tlie members of the. association baTl done yeoman serviee in the control of the game during tlie pnst season, niembers liaving eontrolled games in all parts of tlie Hawke's Bav distriet. During tbe pnst fcw years tliere lind been no men's hockev in Napier, but | tliis year three men's teams from Napier, oue from Taradale and two from Hastings were nssured, and tliis would require ihe nssistanee of new niembers in tbe control of tlie game. The clection of officers resulted as follows : — t'hairman, Alr 0. X. Hallctr; secretary and treasurer, Alr T. 11. Redshaw fre-eleeted) ; eommittee, Messrs C. H. Simmoitds. L. Cameron fre-elected), and A. Thompson ; de.le-' gatc to tlie Hawke's Bav Hoekey and Hawke's Bay Ladies' Assoeiations and tlie Napier Snh-Assoeiation, Mr I). Sutherland. The nppointment nf the delegate to the New. Zealand Hoekey Referces' Association was left in tho liands of Alr C'. Cross to report back to a later meeting. The retiring eliairman, ATr C. Cross, who did not seelc r«-eleetion on aeeount of aetively taking part in the game as a player, was tlie reeipient of the lieartv tlianks of tlie association for his valuable services during tlie pnst year. He suitably responded, and intiraated. that bis efforts would still be to tlie assistane of tlie association in the control of tbe game.
