"Alembership. — The mcmhership of ihe association is the largost it has loen since its inception, and, although ve have had four resignations at- the md of this year, there are qnite a lumber of new members, whose appli•ations are before the committee for icceptance.

Finance. — Ihe association is in a better position than it has been for four years, and has this year heen nble to pay off a portion of the debts incurred during that time. With careful handling during tho next tivelve months, and with the fortnightly amateur bouts, which it is the in,tention of the association to stage, your exeeutive feels positive that next year shoulcl bo a recoixl one." Regret was expressed at the resignation from the committee of Mr James Brown, and it was resolved to send him a letter thanking him for his past servieps. The following new memhers were electcd : — Messrs Glendinning, Lewis, Cargill, Spoor.se, and Davis. Outlining further developments, Mr Harris, eliainnan of tho committee, said that the association was plamiing fortnightly amateur bouts in tlie theatre in ihe futnre. He also said that the committee was considering impnrting a professional from Australia. and tvas also considering staging a hout in Junc with "Ono-Roimd" Donovan.
