LONDON, April 26. Herr Erich ATaria Remarque's hook, to which Sir Ian Hamilton referred, has liad a remarkable run, 250,000 copies being sold 111 Germany in six vv-eeks. An admirable English translation by an Australian has been widely read and revieived in Britain. Remarque was an eiglitecn year old sdioolbo3r, who volunteered witli liis entire class and sowed for the dnration of tlie war. He saw liis schoolmates slain oue by one. Tlie book is a stark yet gripping autobiographical record "of the agonies of a German private soldier's trench life.
