J. C. WILLIAMSON'S "MIDNIGHT FROLICS" TO-NIGHT.

Speaking of the opening night in Auckland, the Press statcs : — "Cheered at the conclusion of the performance was the pleasant experience of the Midnight Frolics on the opening night at Auckland last week, and phenomenal business has obtained ever since." "The greatest show that lias ever been to Auckland" and accorded "the most wonderful reception that any company has ever had," is the press report on this brilliant combmation of "all star" artists, which goes on to describe the revue as "just one thing after anocher, worked that fast that you haven't time to applaud an item before another is before you, and evidently the Auckland audience on the opening night were not to be ontdone, and saved np their applause till the finish, when three liearty British cheers were given the performers." As Eric Edgeiey himself says, never in all their history liave they had such a reception. And well they deserve it, for ihe paper goes on to say that not only are the sketehes good, but the singing, qancing, scenery, wardrobe, lighting effects and general atmosphere is scmething ' altogether dift'erent from wliat the Auckland pnblic have been waiting. The lighting effects in particular are exceptionally brilliant and intensify the heauty of the wonderful scenery carried hv this company. "Fast, I have never seen any thing fa.vter," is the opinion of one Auckland oritic, and the company's appearance in Napier can only be waited for with what patience one may possess. A complete cliange of programme will b prsentcd every night, Mona ilagnet, the famous Hliglish musical comedy artist, will make her appearance with Ihe company. She appeared in New Zealand and Australia five years ago in the J. C. Williamson's productions, "The Peep Show," "Tlie Cabaret Girl," and "The Forty Thieves."
