NELSON, Last night. The first day of'the Nelson Jockey Ciub's races was 'held at Richmond Park in fine weather. The track was slightly heavy. The atlendance ' was good. The tote handled £8752, compared with £7184 last year. Concluding results : — Waiti. Trot. — 1 Loch Bani 1, 4 Waipuki 2, 3 Lady Bee 3. Won by a length. Time, 3min. 47 2-5secs. Electric Handicap. — 2 Dermod 1, 4 Arrow Boy 2, 1 Smitliereens 3. Scr. : Sccond Thought, Ereeze Out, Miss Gowrie. "Won by a short head. Time, lmin. 20secs. Waimea Handicap. — 1 Ronaki I, 2 Miss Mercia 2, 3 Modern 3. Also ran : Double Mint. "Won by a length and a-half. Time, lmin. 48 2-5secs.
