LONDON, April 27. The Rvder Golf Cup matches resulted as under: — • Duncan beat Hagen, 10 and S. Boomcr beat Turnesa 4 and 3. Horton Smith beat Robson, 4 and 2* C. Whitcombe beat Farrell, 8- and 6* "Biegel beat Mitchell, 9 and 8. Oompston beat Savazen, 6. and 4. E Whitcombe and Epinosa, ail squaro Cottou beat Watsons. 4 and 3. Britain won by seven to five. Twelve tliousand witnessed thrilhng contests for the Ryder Cup. Tlie biggest crowd attached itself to the captains. Duncan rose to great lieights and never looked like losing the gajoie> beating Hagen ten and eight. The finisli was most exciting. Ameriqa held the lead hy one game of foursomes and r-onld still save. the cup by winning the thpee closing matches. Horton Smuli brought the side within striking dis-i tance hy defeating Robson, but Cotton. playing fine golf "against . Watsons* made the jssne safe for Britain.
